Chicago Sukkah Design Festival wins 2024 Roberta Feldman Architecture for Social Justice Award

Chicago Sukkah Design Festival (CSDF) is named the winner of the 2024 Roberta Feldman Architecture for Social Justice Award, announced on September 5, 2024 at AIA Chicago Designight. The honor award, administered by the AIA Chicago Foundation, was established to recognize excellence in built projects and design programs guided by the conviction that access to high quality architecture is not a privilege, it is a human right. This yearly award celebrates the commitment of designers who work on behalf of the public good while receiving no or below market rate compensation. CSDF’s organizational framework builds on Roberta Feldman’s lifelong commitment to democratic design and her legacy of public-impact work in North Lawndale specifically.
